ACORN Stairlifts is a substantial privately owned company, whose headquarters and manufacturing facility is located in the heart of Yorkshire, with sales offices and distribution centers in the United States, Canada and Australia.
ACORN employs over 700 people worldwide, and its core business is the manufacture and sale of ACORN Superglide Stairlift.
ACORN Stairlifts was formed in 1992, initially by buying, reconditioning and reselling pre-owned stairlifts, as well as buying in and supplying new stairlifts from other UK manufacturers. Within a very short space of time, demand outstripped supply and ACORN were in a position to explore other options to maintain their commitment to exceptional customer service.
