We are seeking to recruit a full time Project Manager for our client's UK warehouses. These is an opportunity to join the name in the supply chain. A business where talent is not only recognised but nurtured and invested in.
Principal Responsibilities
Successful candidates duties will include:
* Liaising with customers and branch managers to determine inbound, outbound and stockholding levels in order to achieve maximum efficiency in each warehouse and plan effectively any additional storage capacity requirements.
* Reviewing warehouse operations and identifying/implementing method improvements in order to increase efficiency, improve service and reduce cost.
* Producing Operating Procedures for warehouse and administration activities by site and by customer.
* Auditing warehouse and administration activities to ensure compliance to procedures.
* Measure profitability of each warehouse client.
* Respond to RFI/RFQ requests including presentations to existing and prospective customers as required
* Cover any Branch Manager/Administration Manager holidays and sickness
* Manage any project work as directed.
* Build client satisfaction with the Company's internal customers.
Our ideal candidate will have/be :-
* Preferably educated to degree level with a concentration on Operations, Project Management and Industrial Engineering.
* Extensive experience and knowledge of warehouse operations and transportation.
* Past experience that demonstrates the ability to influence and lead the accomplishment of initiatives- even through employees and groups who are not direct reports
* Willing to travel around the UK
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Excellent decision making and problem solving skills
