THE ROLE
Providing an efficient and effective secretarial and administrative support, management of the administrative team, under the guidance of the Regional Director
Manage a small administration team to ensure the effective and efficient running of all office procedures
Review and revise office procedures to maintain efficiency within a changing environment in conjunction with the Regional Director
Provide full secretarial and administrative support to the Regional Director, and contract team, including confidential information, delegating tasks as appropriate to other members of the admin team
Maintain personnel records observing strict confidentiality at all times
Provide First Aid cover for the Regional Office
Responsible for the effective collection and distribution of incoming mail, and for the correct treatment of outgoing mail
Provide administrative and secretarial cover for Annual Leave and sickness
Process supplier's invoices and subcontract payments
Responsibility for petty cash
Process valuations/invoices including credit control and cash chasing
Handle telephone calls, answering routine enquiries and taking messages as appropriate
Undertake other duties from time to time as can be reasonably requested by senior management, and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of the job
THE PERSON
Excellent administration and secretarial skills gained from within an office environment
At least 2 continuous years experience of managing a small team, preferably continuous with one employer
Good level of education
Computer literate with an excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
RSA Level II or above
Highly efficient, professional and able to prioritise work loads
Professional telephone manner and pleasant disposition
Flexible approach to work within a changing environment
Purchase ledger experience is desirable

23 days holiday rising to 25 after 12 months service
£20,000+ salary
Minimum of 37.5 hour week Monday to Friday, flexibility to work additional hours as the business demands
