Reporting to the Operation Manager, you will be responsible for the production control systems, ensuring the smooth running of the production department and the maintenance of appropriate stock levels. This is a very varied, busy and demanding role, therefore previous experience, exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills are imperative. A background in the Chemistry AND manufacturing industry would be extremely advantageous
THE ROLE
Control acceptance of sales orders by production to fulfil customer requirements
Issue daily production programme
Monitor and control the progress of production
Monitor, control and correct quantities of all stock items
Maintain accuracy and integrity of IT and paper based systems to control the following:
Material master data
Quality master data
Automated manufacturing systems
Stock level and accuracy
THE PERSON
Numerate and literate
A competent user of MS Word, Excel, Access
Advanced SAP ability
Knowledge of Health & Safety
Exceptional attention to detail
A proven track record of instigating and progressing process improvement through a range of techniques
The successful candidate will have good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively with a team is especially important due to limited available resource and short customer lead times but also have the ability to work independently using their own initiative
