    Responsible for a production team of up to 10 employees. Responsible for employee issues and the smooth running of production under his/her remit.

    Qualifications

    GCSE level English and Math or equivalent are desirable.

    Experience

    Experience of working in a manufacturing environment

    Skills and Attributes

    Language Skills Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents relating to Industrial Services. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquires or complaints.

    Mathematical Skills Ability to perform basic mathematical equations.

    Reasoning Ability Ability to apply principles of logical thinking of a wide range of practical problems.

    Ongoing Job Targets

    Ensuring that production is constantly running smoothly and employee issues are dealt with appropriately. Ensuring the quality standards are met and that the team works in line with health and safety policies and legislation.


    Duties and Key Responsibilities


    Ability to accurately prepare documents, production sheets and other reports and related paperwork as required.
    Maintain discipline, a safe working environment, and compliance of procedures. Keeps work area clean and orderly.
    Ability to recognize the need for work adaptations such as job set up to meet the needs of production and to refer such to appropriate managers.
    Motivate workers within the team to perform to the best of their abilities.
    Capable of perceiving problems as they develop and communicating such to individuals.
    Responsible for all workers assigned to his/her specific work area.
    Coordinate the work activities of workers.
    Demonstrate job duties to new workers and observe the performance of workers in the production team to ensure compliance with procedures and safety regulations.
    Responsible for monitoring the quality standards of the work area.
    Use designated area for storage of materials and completed contract work.
    Count and record production work on daily production sheets and transfer such to the production sheets as appropriate.
    Responsible for quality of product produced in her/her work area.
    Responsible for preparation of shipment of finished goods to contracting customers.
    Keep their supervisor appraised of issues related to performance including delays, which could cause contracts from being completed on time.
    Ensure that tasks are assigned based on the individual capabilities of members of the production team.
    Communicate workshop policy and rules to workers.
    Investigate and report findings of accidents to appropriate personnel.
