Vocational Skills Trainers
Do you have a trade or craft skill? Do you want a fresh opportunity working in a challenging and rewarding environment?
City College is the largest provider of learning to offenders in England working in 41 custodial establishments. As part of the ongoing development of our work we regularly recruit both full and part time Vocational Skills Trainers to work in Prisons across the region (see profile pages).
Subjects include:
Construction, including brickwork, plastering
Painting and decorating
Wall and Floor Tiling
Motor Vehicle
Catering
Industrial Cleaning
Woodwork
IT
Salaries range between £20k and £30k with working hours of 37 per week, balanced training loads, access to final salary pension scheme and structured training and development opportunities linked to salary progression.
You can access the job role at a number of levels depending on qualifications and experience. Training and development opportunities towards teaching, assessment and professional qualifications are supported.
