THE ROLE
Working within a friendly and sociable team for a leading distribution firm, the role of Sales Area Co-ordinator is responsible for managing customer accounts, dealing with customer orders, queries and associated administration. Working alongside an external Sales Representative for a specific region of the UK, you will manage existing and new customers in your area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Liaising with existing and new customers by telephone and email on a daily basis
Inputting full and accurate order details onto the computer system in line with customer requirements and procedures.
Ensuring any discrepancies or change, or difficulty to meet customer requirements are communicated promptly and effectively to customers and resolutions provided wherever possible.
Communicating any relevant stock issues with the purchasing department.
Communicating with credit control any orders being inputted that are held due to account issues.
Ensuring new account details are set up completely and customer special instruction are accurate.
Proactively liaising with customers to increase the business relationship with clients and increase orders placed within the company.
Maintaining date certificate route information and customer special instruction to ensure details are up to date.
Handling all sales queries, customer enquiries, complaints and sample request.
Providing budgets and forecasts in conjunction with Sales Representatives for the financial year, implementing long and short term strategies in conjunction with regard to new and existing products for new and existing clients.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
Experience in a busy customer service or sales role is essential
Good communication skills both verbally and in writing
A good standard of Education with GCSEs at Grade C and above in Maths and English
IT literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Good numerical skills
Commercial awareness
The ability to work under pressure
Excellent negotiation skills
THE PACKAGE
Salary: £15k-£17k
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
Bonus: £500 per quarter (subject to performance)
Holidays: 20 days holiday rising to 25 after 2 years
