| This well established Patents and Trademarks attourneys are seeking an experienced secretary to support patent attourneys in their Leeds city centre office. They are not looking for an individual who only aspires to be a typist or standard secretary. In our profession secretarial support personnel with experience and appropriate training can aspire to become a patent administrator. There is a formal qualification that may be achieved at that level set by the Chartered Institute of Patent Agents. We are looking for a candidate who has the potential to develop to this level of skill and expertise. Duties will include:- Typing letters of various length and complexity. Audio and manuscript amended. Typing of long (20 pages plus) documents often relating to complex scientific subject matter. Audio and complex manuscript amendment. File administration. This involves rigorous attention to detail on filing and the management of files both paper and electronic. Reviewing daily correspondence with patent attorney and effecting follow-up activities to tight deadlines. Administrative support to patent agents. This requires the sourcing of documents, preparing of document bundles and reports for both internal and external needs. In addition a requirement to learn some administrative duties connected with the processing of Patents and Trade marks such as completing legal forms, inputting and updating of details onto an in house computer system and the recording of charges. Assisting patent attorneys in their workload planning. We have timeline based database systems, which we use to monitor and manage our workloads. Interacting with clients on administrative matters. We often iterate documents through client correspondence, which needs to be carefully handled and monitored. General office duties including faxing and photocopying. Progressing client billing activities. |
