POSITION: QUALITY ENGINEER / MANAGER

LOCATION: Rotherham, Barnsley, Sheffield, Chesterfield, Doncaster, Wakefield
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
-£28-35,000
OVERVIEW:
-Assisting in compilation and updating of selected Quality procedures
-Involvement in internal quality audits of management systems
-Bringing through the new Quality Management System from a reactive to preventative culture
-Responsible for the asisting technical development of the company
-Quality appraisal of sub contractors to ISO 9001.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience of working to ISO9001 quality management system.
- Implementing of international business systems
- Nationwide travel and some overseas travel
DESIRABLE
-HNC level or higher in an Engineering discipline.
-A knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and ideally experience of Kaizan or Six Sigma
ROLE INFORMATION IN DETAIL:
-Preparation of contract quality plans
-Reviews of supplier certification and compilation of records for clients
- Assisting in the maintenance of a quality improvement system
- Liaising with clients and independent authorities with regard to witness inspection
-Update and maintain quality contrl plan for department to assure product quality.
-Help provide training and induction for new employees
-Carrying out and assisting with internal and external audits
