WORKS MANAGER

LOCATION:
WEST YORKSHIRE/WAKEFIELD

SALARY:
£37K (£45k including bonus) + Pension

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

Overview
The role of the Works Manager must a proven history of management and experience of medium to heavy fabrications. Excellent man management abilities are required including organisational, delegation, motivational and communication skills. The role necessitates that the individual is target driven and capable of achieving results that support the companys financial objectives.
Experience/Knowledge
A Good Grounding in Welding Codes & Processes ASME, BS EN, MIG, TIG, Sub Arc, MMA; Heat Treatment
Experience of NDT: Radiography, MPI, DPI, Hydro
Experience of a range materials: Carbon Steel, Alloys, Stainless;
Experience of Fully Traceable Products such as Pressure Vessels, Petro Chem., Offshore;
Other useful knowledge would be machining, Surface finishes i.e. Galvanised & Painted.
A reasonable knowledge in the use of computers is required
Key Duties
Ensuring works compliance with the Companies Health & Safety & Environmental Sheets;
Works planning including the works production program;
Plant & Equipment: Maintenance, Repairs, Equipment Hire etc;
Establish and working within works budgets;
Achieve Targeted Productive Hours and Efficiency;
Achieve Target Hours For Each Contract;
Achieve Required Standards i.e. Customer Specification, Applicable Codes, Quality.
