Job Description
EMIS provides remote technical support to GP Practices all over the UK. These GP Practices are using a number of software applications developed by EMIS.

We are looking for Graduate Software Implementation Consultants who will be involved with the day-to-day operations to carry out scripted technical implementation.
The post holder's main role is to provide implementation and upgrade services for EMIS's flagship products. Working in a highly focused team you will be responsible for upgrading databases and servers. Your tasks must be carried out to a very high standard and within the deadlines set.
Hands on experience implementing technical applications, particularly the installation of database and proprietary software applications as well as an understanding of issues relating to installing and managing applications in a production environment are a distinct advantage. Shift working including nights will be necessary
Position Requirements
Education to degree level or equivalent in a computer science related degree
Understanding of Operating Systems - Windows Server Family a distinct advantage
Experience in the use of SQL Server Manager for the purpose of scripting, monitoring and reporting in an implementation and/or support environment
A good understanding of Database management and troubleshooting
A good understanding of web servers, proxy servers etc
An understanding of Networking Infrastructure including routers, firewalls, WAN/LAN, VPN and remote working.
Personal skills and experience
Must be able to demonstrate a meticulous attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with both technical and non-technical personnel
Rapidly acquire new skills and concepts
