Job Description

Financial Difficulties Administrator / Advisor

Purpose of the role

Working in a friendly team of 8 people you will handle correspondence, processes and negotiate payment arrangements from Debt Management Companies and customers who are in financial difficulties. This role is roughly a 50% split between administration and phone work.

Hours: Monday- Friday 9- 5:15pm Option of rotating shifts of 8-4:15pm Monday to Friday

Salary range: £13,455 increasing to £14,128 after 3 months probation Up to 5% annual bonus

Responsibilities

Handle inbound telephone calls from customers and third parties in professional and polite manner.

Process and negotiate payment arrangements with customers and Debt Management Companies both verbally and in writing.

Manage inbound mail enquiries within service level agreements.

Follow up on payment promises to secure on-going arrangements and re-negotiate with customers and third parties where payment plans have defaulted.

Ensure accurate and efficient data inputting of payment proposals and associated information.

Experience required

Previous experience of working with Debt Management companies and/or external companies is desirable. Collections or Customer Service experience desirable. Previous administration experience essential.

Skills

Ability to communicate effectively with customers and 3rd parties in writing and by telephone, Empathetic to customer needs Computer literate. Strong organisational and prioritisation skills. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work on own initiative Strong problem solving skills.
