The Business Support Centre (BSC) operates a ‘shared service’ providing support services to Leeds City Council, its immediate partners and beyond. One of the services provided is payroll, who administers a high volume centralised payroll using SAP software.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual who can show a commitment to the high standards set by the Payroll Service. You will need to be highly motivated, with excellent interpersonal and computer skills with the ability to produce accurate work under pressure with a flexible, ‘can do’ approach. The successful candidate must have 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) graded A-C, including English & Maths and have experience of working (either paid or voluntary) in a customer focused environment.
Duties of this position will include interpreting and entering high volumes of data to the Payroll System, answering telephone calls & written communication from employees / managers & third parties on matters relating to Payroll.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone wishing to start an exciting career in Payroll; previous experience in this field is not required as full training will be given.
