An opportunity for an assistant accountant has arisen to work for a manufacturing business based in Wakefield. This role will be to primarily assist the management accountant in providing accurate and timely commercial and financial reporting both internally and externally, to tight deadlines. You will be responsible for production of period end reports & period end control accounts, maintain management control documentation, report and track debtor and creditor trends. You will also be responsible for controlling and reporting on fixed assets, promotional/discount accruals, maintain capital projects software and responsible for project reporting.
You must have previous experience in a Financial role and ideally be studying towards an Accounting Qualification - AAT/CIMA/ACCA, An understanding of double entry, fixed assets, accruals and prepayments is essential.
