We currently have a vacancy for a Secretary for our client, a leading law firm in Sheffield. The caseload of the team includes dealing with clients who have suffered serious brain injuries and lack the capacity to manage their own financial affairs.

Within this role you will be relied upon to provide a comprehensive, efficient and accurate secretarial service, with specific responsibility for producing documentation in both copy and digital dictation formats. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisation and written skills, including spelling and grammar and should possess highly competent audio typing skills.
It is essential that all candidates should have a minimum of 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above and must be able to demonstrate excellent client care skills, initiative and enthusiasm. The successful candidates will have experience of working in a busy environment and will have the confidence in handling a large workload; therefore excellent organisational and time management skills are essential, as is the ability to work as part of a team.
You must also be self-motivated and capable of producing work to the highest quality. In addition, you must have an excellent telephone manner as well as the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with a wide range of people. All candidates must be confident in using the suite of Microsoft Office applications and have the willingness to learn in-house computerised systems. Experience using Winscribe or another similar dictation system would be a distinct advantage.
