THE COMPANY
My Sheffield based client has been providing engineering solutions to a diverse range of blue chip industries for over forty years and have recently undergone a successful transfer of ownership. The new management team has considerable engineering experience with a very pro-active outlook to the future growth of the company. Resulting from a sustained period of business growth they are looking to recruit the following position.

THE ROLE
We are looking to recruit a Degree qualified Senior Design Engineer to join the Technical Department. The position will offer exciting career prospects with a leading and innovative manufacturer.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
*You must have experience within the medium to heavy engineering industry as the projects you will be working on will often be large scale and complex.

*The successful candidate will have "hands on" design ability, typically with regard to equipment employed in the field of mechanical engineering/mechanical handling.

*Competency required in Solid Works, (or Solid Edge / Inventor) AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel and Project is essential

*The candidate will be expected to produce calculations to support their designs which would embrace simple beam theory and various combinations of drive and lever arm type systems.

*It would be expected that the candidate would have some project management background.

THE PACKAGE
*£35k + depending on experience
*33 Days holiday per year (25 days + 8 statutory)
*Payment of Sickness Absence - Full Salary for 12 weeks
