Our client, a forward thinking and progressive Further Education College based near Bradford now requires a Secretary to provide secretarial and administrative support to the College Administrator and the Clerk to the Corporation.
The role
This is a full time, permanent role with responsibility for the following areas:
• Provision of secretarial and administrative services to management
• Administration of all procedures in connection with the recruitment and selection of staff
• Dealing with enquiries from staff in a sensitive manner
• Management of Central Administration staff
• Taking comprehensive notes / minutes of meetings
• Ad hoc report writing and collation
• Participation in the college’s quality processes
• To manage various budgets
The successful candidate
In order to succeed within this role, a candidate must demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:
• Excellent IT skills and experience using a range of computer software, including Excel and database systems
• A minimum of three years Administrative experience within a fast pace and pressurised environment
• Experience of managing a team
• Excellent telephone manner
• Experience of minute taking
• Experience of working within a Further Education setting would be a distinct advantage
• Experience of recruitment process and procedures would be a distinct advantage
• The ability to speak an Asian language would be a distinct advantage
