SALARY AND BENEFITS:
- £35-45,000, plus healthcare and pension
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience in project management preferably within a heavy industrial engineering environment.
-A thorough and proven understanding of project management principles
-An enthusiastic and self-motivated approach to work, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
-Proven problem solving ability and attention to detail.
-Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations, relevant codes of practice and associated legislation.
-Willingness to work flexibly, involving working outside normal office hours/weekends as necessary as part of a dedicated engineering team.
DESIRABLE
-HNC level or higher in an Engineering discipline.

ROLE INFORMATION IN DETAIL:
-Developing processes and plant, and contributing to product development, including management of major capital enhancements to meet strategic business plans.
-Managing projects from specification, procurement and planning through to manufacture, installation and commissioning utilising Project Management Methodology.
-Preparation of tender documentation, evaluation of bids and negotiating contracts.
-Ensuring all projects comply with current and future engineering standards, statutory legislation, codes of practice, safety regulations and contract terms and conditions.
-Implementing strict budget control systems, handling and authorising payments, contractual decisions and claims.
-Developing safe operating procedures, planned and preventative maintenance manuals, spares lists and training for all new plant and equipment
-Management of site based activities ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation, implementing and controlling safe systems of work to prevent accidents, plant failure and lost productivity.
-Building integrated relationships with internal and external colleagues to fully understand customer requirements
