Position: Conventional/Manual Borer
Location: North Leeds
Salary: £18'000 - 24'000
Our client is a leading name in the design and manufacture of turnkey equipment to a large range of industries within medium to heavy engineering.
Based in North Leeds, they are currently looking to recruit for a Manual or Conventional Vetical or Horizontal Borer
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking to appoint a Horizontal or vertical Borer who will operate manual Vertical or Horizontal Boring machines. The position will involve the setting up of cast components on to machine tables. Castings are predominately made from Cast Iron or Chrome Irons. Experience in setting work true, tool selection and reading
of Engineering Drawings is essential.
You should have served a recognised apprenticeship and have experience of setting
and operating within a medium to heavy engineering environment on manual
machine tools. A medium to heavy engineering background is ideal however not
essential.
A good level of written and spoken English is required by all vacancies as well as the
ability to read Engineering Drawings. The position is based on a 37.5 hour working week
plus overtime.
