Position: VEHICLE/HGV FITTER
Location: Wakefield
Salary: £22-23'000 + Overtime, within a modern fully equipped workshop, work wear and tools provided. Excellent working conditions as well as a continuous development/training programme and free life insurance
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our client provides transport related services to utilities companies fleets throughout Yorkshire and are looking for enthusiastic, skilled craftsmen to join the team in this area. You must have served a recognised apprenticeship, have at least three years experience and be trained to City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 or above.
As well as an LGV C+E (HGV 1) driving licence, applicants must have proven skills in vehicle fault diagnosis and be capable of maintaining a wide variety of vehicles ranging from small car derived vans to large trucks (Tippers, Tankers and Box Trailers). Preparing these vehicles for annual test to VOSA standards is also a prerequisite of the position. Being a qualified MOT tester would be desirable although not essential.
Applicants must have a flexible attitude and be able to work with the minimum of direct supervision.
