We act to recover and secure outstanding debt for our financial services and government department clients.
The department is currently experiencing continued growth in it’s securitisation activities and this is an ideal opportunity for an experienced collector to join an exciting team.
The department in general operates a telephone collections environment and operates on shift patterns outside of standard hours to enable contact to be made.
We are market leaders as we are the only firm of solicitors who carry out this type of work.
Our development plans are in line with the firms 3 year strategy plan to increase profitability in new and existing markets by 8% per year.
Key responsibilities: You will be administering a legal collections process, including correspondence with courts and telephone calls to ensure that a charging order is obtained against the debtors property and client service levels are achieved.
You will be negotiating payment in full from debtors to prevent further enforcement action to recover outstanding debt. Client contact may be required in order to resolve complex queries.
You will be expected to work to productivity, financial and turnaround targets.
Skills and experience: You will be taking inbound and outbound telephone calls to ensure that client service levels and individual objectives are achieved.
Negotiating payment in full of outstanding debts. Client contact may be required in order to resolve complex queries.

A minimum of 6 months experience of a collections environment is absolutely necessary.
Experience of legal collections and the court system would be a distinct advantage, however training and support will be provided.
Key competencies: You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be process driven - able to confidently challenge and develop working practises.
You will also have good accuracy skills and an eye for detail.
You will be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised to achieve demanding client deadlines as well as being target driven and proactive.
